"So after parsing through some info I got yesterday, I have put together what I think is a pretty terrific starting off point for media contact, with newspapers, trades, and wire services. I have confirmed that each of these reporters/editors are current to their staffs so there should be no bounceback messages.

As a suggestion (from someone who gets tons of pitches each day), keep your subject line short (under 10 words) but informative and grabby. In your email message, tell the reporter/editor why this story is important to you and, most importantly, why it is necessary for that reporter to write about it and for their readers to know about it.

Keep the email concise, make it clear, and make it something that the reporter has to write about, so be passionate and informative.
